First of all, find a fishing spot. A good place is the east coast of Plymouth Wharf. Once there, equip your Fishing Pole and Fishing Net like so.

Next, click anywhere in the water. Your Battle Text box should resemble this.

Your chance to catch varies by fish and by location. You may have a 50 percent chance to catch catfish in one spot, and 53 in another. Likewise, the fish that inhabit a certain spot change too. Depicted below are the types of fish you can catch, and how much stamina they heal, after being cooked.

After catching all the fishies you want, you're going to want to cook them. Sushi wasn't so great back in the day anyway. Anyway, find a campfire or a stove , and equip your Frying Pan as shown.

Now, click the fishies, then click the fire. Your Battle Text box should resemble the one below.

When the blue bar is filled, you'll be told whether or not you successfully cooked the fishies. You cook 5 at a time, not individually, so if you've got a full stack, you click the fire and it says you've burned them, you're down to 15 fishies.

A bit of nostalgia. Pic #1, Pic #2, Pic #3.
